Basic Dog Obedience Class
6 Weeks Program - $145.00 group class
(students- 4 min; 12 max)
Bark!Here basic obedience class is geared towards beginners who want to learn to train their dogs in a group setting. The goal of the class is to teach the human students how to train their canine partner. The class meets one night a week for six weeks. Ms. Young teaches motivational techniques to train your dog. The class covers how to train a dog the following commands: Here, Heel, Sit, Down, Place, and Wait. Solutions to behavior problems are also discussed. Students will attend all classes and use these techniques outside of class time to instill and improve your communication and your dog's obedience. So "let's get real" you have to stay consistent with your communication in class and at home. If this is the program for you contact us to enroll in the next class. This is a fun class; join us even as a refresher course.

Saturday Classes

Come join us for a fun afternoon and dinner with friends and your dog. Ask questions, teach a trick, local field trips, and simply enjoy time with others just talking "dog". Call for location and itinerary; each month has a different agenda.
Private Classes
$65.00 1st session, $40.00 thereafter.
Private obedience lessons are available for those who want one-on-one attention or those with hectic schedules who cannot make the basic obedience classes. Private lessons can follow the basic obedience class outline or can be tailored to the student's needs. Private lessons can be held at our location or in-home. Like the obedience classes, this program is for those with the desire and the time to train their own dogs. This format is a must for aggressive dogs. Professional Training
There are many different situations that may lead you to consult a professional dog handler. I do not believe that there are any breeds of dog that are impossible to train. There are breeds that are tougher to train than others because they are bred to be independent, or they are easily distracted by their nose, etc. There are also individual dogs that are harder or easier to train than others. Some dogs are more easily rewarded--like they are really food motivated, which makes reinforcement during training easier. It doesn't mean non-foodie dogs are not trainable, it just means that the handler will have to figure out what rewards the dog. Maybe it's chasing a ball or a jog around the block. A good trainer will be aware of these challenges. I have met many dogs and people and I simply have the experience to share a few of my tips with you that would make communicating with your dog simpler and faster than you guessing about what may "work".
Consultation
Our consultation services are available to those in need of guidance in any of a number of topics. We offer these services over the phone, via email as well as in person. Discussion of behavioral problems, training, socialization, adoption and puppy or breed selection are just a few examples of how Bark!Here Kennels would like to assist your enjoyment with your decisions about canine companionship.
Board & Train
Bark!Here Kennels offers board and train programs. Your dog will stay at Bark!Here for training, boarding, and grooming. Commands Here, Heel, Sit, Down, Place, and Wait are motivationally taught, reviewed or corrected. More is taught as more is mastered. When you leave your 4-legged family member with Bark!Here they are in good care. I am a highly experienced and conscientious dog professional who enjoys providing for your dog's needs while you are away. Young or old; big or small; spoiled or stubborn they'll have a happy time learning.
Bark!Here also offers a tailored training boot camp for when you may have a trip planned and "Fido" has to stay home. Call for a quote for a per day training fee based on the vacation and education of your dogs stay.
One to Three-Week Board & Train
During the short term beginning program your dog will begin on-leash obedience. Motivational techniques are used to train your dog the following commands: Here, Heel, Sit, Down, Place, and Wait. Private lessons with the owner, on how to communicate cues and continue training, are given before the dog's departure. Unlimited assistance is available FREE for the next 3 months. Any future basic obedience classes receive a 50% discount for this pair for a lifetime.
Four to Six-Week Board & Train
During the extended term program basic on-leash obedience
is the foundation and continues to off-leash obedience. Motivational techniques are used to train
or enhance the following
commands:
Here, Heel, Sit, Down, Place, Wait, Fetch, Off-Leash and Say Your
Prayers. Training is tailored to your individual dog's propensity. Included with the
extended term program are private lessons
and two in-home lessons. The graduate and owner will have an open invitation
to any of our basic obedience classes free of charge. The dog’s training is
guaranteed for his life.
Although, I have learned not to guarantee humans will learn as quickly.
